Spirit Horses 2019 Wall Calendar Details
About the Author Just before the turn of the millennium, a quiet but gnawing voice drew Tony Stromberg out of his roots in commercial photography and deep into the soul of the West. He began his pilgrimage away from the frenetic world of advertising and into a world possessing a respect for nature and the land. Since then he has spent much of his time learning the nuances of his most beloved equine companions in their natural environment. The spirit of the horse is a magnificent teacher to humanity, he says. Stromberg's work is an homage to the equine spirit and a celebration of horses' remarkable presence in our lives. Often referred to as visual poetry, his images reveal the incredible beauty and grace of the horse. His books Spirit Horses and The Forgotten Horses are published by New World Library. Read more

I don't nor have ever owned a horse, I'm not a rider, but I've always appreciated their elegance, beauty, and spirit. Typically, I choose a more generic "inspirational" calendar with floating lilies and other serene & peaceful images to hang... but I was finding that those weren't catching my eye and feeling very inspirational. Not so with SPIRIT HORSES... Maybe because these are living creatures. I'm not going to overthink it... I just really appreciate how these images connect in me and trigger a mindful relaxed breath and a peace that lasts as long as it lasts...until my next glance walking by.Like most other calendars... 12x12 closed, hole at the top to hang, ample squares for each date of the month, with the usual holiday mentions.I also purchased one as a gift for a friend who has and loves horses... She was SO moved and loves it.
